Happy Feel Good Friday!!!
Today is actually a sad day for me but I am going to make an effort to feel good anyway. One year ago today I lost my dad, life as I knew it ended and this knew world without him begain. Everything looks the same but feels so different and you know things will never be how they were. I’m sure many of you who have lost a loved one can relate.
Obviously, I miss him dearly, but on this feel good friday instead of focusing on the pain caused by his absence I will focus on all the Joy he brought to my life and how greatful I am to be his daughter. I can say without a doubt or hesitation I had the Best Dad Ever!!!! (take my word you will lose any debate on this topic)

Hadassah,
Thank you for commenting. It makes me happy to hear that my nieces love me, not that I doubted that. 🙂 I love them and my nephews very, very, much and am happy that they got to know my Dad and will one day be able to tell my children about how fun and crazy "One-pop" was.

DJrelAt7 that is exactly what I want people to get from this. Appreciate the people you love and let them know. I am lucky that my dad knew how much I love him. The things I write about him now are not things that he did not know just things I want the world to know about him and his impact on me.

Thanks Marcia. My Dad's mom would start preparing and getting everyone in a festive mood for Chrismas starting in October. She'd start it off by playing Chrismas music on October 1st. My Dad did this every year to remember her. Now I will do it every year to remember him. Family Traditions are very powerful. Playing the music also allows me to be connected in some way to a grandmother that I never got to meet.

"because of my dad I play christmas music every October 1st…" – I would love to hear how that came about. I echo Ms. Pillowz post, tearing up here at work, what a wonderful list.

Thanks Ms. Pillowz. Sorry for the tears. 🙂 And know you wont catch me in the streets in a headscarf either. He was really big on people not being outside if they are not neat clean and fully groomed, especialy women. Hair half done is not a good look.

This is beautiful. I can't be crying at work, but I did feel the twinge the let the tears roll. *big hug* One of my favorites was that because of your dad you won't be caught outside in rollers. What about a headscarf? lol
