Should I give up on becoming a mom? Should I give up on trying to get pregnant? Should I give up on becoming a single mother by choice?
These were the questions I started struggling with after the failed frozen embryo transfer. I really had a hard time. After so many failed attempts I was shocked at how difficult this one was.
The first failed transfer after IVF I could chalk up to bad luck. But now two failed attempts. What does this mean? Then I started thinking about the previous failed attempts before IVF and my missed miscarriage. For the first time since I started on this journey I really began to wonder if I should give up on becoming a mom.
Here is where my faith and self-care pillars of joy came in handy. Since the pregnancy tests were negative I decided to up my exercise routine and I started walking/jogging outside. During one of these workouts I felt compelled to pray and I got some clarity. Should I give up on becoming a mom or continue on?

Yep! Hang in there, Arlett! You’re right, you have several embryos left. It took my sister-in-law multiple attempts via IVF. She stayed the course and now has a 5 year old son. Enjoy this process-Your baby is on the way!

I’m avoiding a work baby shower today…tears falling now…. I’m so afraid to let out cause I might not stop….I understand so totally what you’re going through.

Oh God is speaking……to both of us. While watching your video, this song comes on the Gospel radio station. Thy will be done…this song Always gives me chills….not a coincidence..that it came on at this exact time but. ..the singer has an infertility story.
