It’s a new year and a new cycle. This update is about gearing myself up for another try at becoming a mom. This is my 10th cycle and 6th IUI. I cannot believe it has been almost a year since I started trying to conceive with frozen donor sperm and over a year since I decided to embark on this Single Mother By Choice Journey. So what’s the plan this month? Obviously I’m doing an IUI but I am making a change. Check out the video to see what I’m doing different this cycle.
So what do you guys think? Did you do IUIs or some other type of fertility treatment to get pregnant?
P.S. Don’t forget to pray for me. This process can be super hard.

I want this to work for you but noone told me these things beforehand. The nurse said temporary menopause. Im not so sure how temporary?????
at least look into adoption now because the adoption process will take maybe a year or more of your life. Im in the process of adopting now. You are a smart woman. At least get your research going on both options. I am smc and did not have anyone who would understand why I would put myself through this process. As a little no one prepares you for all the reasons that smc becomes your #1 option. No one unerstands the tears and sleepless nights. The desire for some of us to give life in this and other areas of our lives is so strong. I wish I could gave gad your support . 1.5 years ago. Boston girl was a great support. There was noone who could relate to this process for me.

#2 hot flashes did not have them before.
Did not get pregnant even with very very good embryos. Some staff were nice some rude.
I was not prepared for ivf side effects
1. 4 or more to get pregnant
2. Throws you into menopause
3. Throws off cycle ..I had clockwork periods before this
4. Skin problems.. had nice clear skin before this.
5. Hormones!!!!!!!!!!!!!
6. Lupron is a medicine given as chemo therapy for men with prostate cancer
I did 2 ivf cycles then decided that im not rich and the uncertainty and sadness was too much. Some get pregnant first try some some take more. I used donor egg and donor soerm. Was a hard decision for me. God decided with embryos halleluia. I did not gave to worry about discarding a life. Shots were not bad but I dont have problem with needles. The first shot was scary cause I never had to do one for self. I did not like making the meds hormones uggh.
