Happy Thursday! If your a long time reader you know that I don’t typically post on Thursdays, usually only Monday, Wednesday and Friday. But I am participating in NaBloPoMo so that means I will be posting every day in November. In addition to NaBloPoMo I’m also running a Gratitude Challenge on the Chasing Joy Facebook Group. So I will be dedicating my Thursday posts to adding to my #1000Gratitudes List.
#63. I am thankful for when my cat, Peanut, does silly things that make me laugh.
Earlier this week he did just that. I was getting dressed and had just taken a pair of sneakers out of my stack of shoe boxes. no sooner than I took them out I see Peanut looking in the box. I say to him, “you can’t fit in there”. Everyone knows cats love to squeeze into small spaces. Within seconds of me warning him he goes in head first. LOL, only half of his body fit. He quickly realized his error and backed out. But, not before I could snap a picture. I was cracking up laughing at him.
I think everyone should have a pet. I have had both cats and a dog and received great love, affection, and joy from both. Some of my friends have had other kinds of pets like rabbits and have had the same experience. The unconditional love that animals show their owners and just having another living being in your home goes a long ways in bringing you closer to the Joy you have been chasing.
So go adopt a pet!!! Well, only if it fits your lifestyle. But I do recommend it. For those of you who have pets, what kinds of things do they do that really make you laugh?

My 4 month old kitten has bonded to our 8 year old cat. He loves to snuggle up with our old girl, the he start chasing her tail. She unceremonioulsy just shoves him off – thump – and we watch him tumble, shake himself off and go back for more.

My cats are the best at making me laugh. They do the craziest things. I should set up a camera when i am not home to see what they get up to.

Pets are so important to a family (in my opinion). They help me to remember to enjoy the little things! We have 3 kitties and are getting another one for Christmas 🙂

We have a goofy cat, although my daughter would love a dog… I am happy with just a cat. Our cat acts like a dog…. he howls around the house looking for us and like water so maybe he is confused what he actually is.

I like your attitude! For me it all boils down to, is the cup half empty, or half full. Mine has to be half full, I live with someone who mostly has his cup half empty, it doesn't look like fun!

I never thought I would like living with a pet but my daughter bringing her cat to stay with us totally changed my mind. It's amazing how they can cheer you up or make you laugh!

I have always enjoyed animals but never became truly obsessed until we adopted our dog four years ago. He is such a huge part of my life and I honestly consider him my fourth child.

I am forever grateful for my dogs. Even when they are annoying, they are still super cute and loving! I don't know what I'd do without them.

My dog really just drives me crazy, but he's cute so I guess that makes it all ok 🙂
