My theme for this year is confidence. If I could only pick one thing to improve upon it would be my confidence. I know that would give me the most bang for my buck as increased confidence would spill over into all areas of my life. I’d write bolder and more vulnerable blog posts. I’d speak up more at work and take on more projects. I would flirt more boldly and likely go on more dates. Much would be gained by improving my confidence.
As I work on building my confidence there are a few celebrities that I think of as good examples of confident women. Now I am not a person who heavily follows celebrities and celebrity gossip, so I will not pretend to know more about these women than I do. However, there is something about them that I find likable and when I see them in the media they come across as confident to me.
In no particular order….
Drew Barrymore. I love how she has not allowed her troubled youth to define her. We all make mistakes. She is a great example of bouncing back.

Bethenny Frankel. I have liked her since the Real Housewives of New York when she was the non-rich friend who was hustling to develop her brand. I love how she is confident enough to be vulnerable.

Oprah. Her confidence to just go for it and to be herself is very inspiring. Despite criticism of every type imaginable she just does whatever she wants from being the cover girl on her own magazine every month to creating a whole network that airs the programming she wants.

The Williams Sisters. Venus and Serena are just unapologetically strong. They are competitive and not afraid to win. They go hard.

These women probably have lots of things in common but what comes to mind most of all is that they all have worked hard, over come some difficulties, and are not afraid of their success.
In those moments when my confidence is wavering I should ask myself what would these ladies do.

Oprah is my go-to women for all things confidence! I seen her in person for her tour and the energy was amazing!
Oprah will always be my top confident woman! She is just so empowering and I saw her in person last year for a tour and she was absolutely amazing! I felt her energy!

These are all very confident women. I have always liked Drew Barrymore. She really turned her life around.
I definitely think of Oprah as a confident woman. She has been through so many things in life and has persevered.

These are all great examples of confident women. I think we all go through moments of insecurity, so keeping the struggles these women have faced is definitely inspiring.

I think you featured some fantastic examples of confident women here. Personally I feel it is easy for celebrities to seem confident when they have personal trainers, hairdressers and makeup artists on a daily basis. It is the average every day confident woman that often inspires me!
Confidence is so important, but it's also difficult to come by sometimes. You really have to stay the course and always look ahead – never behind.
These are great examples. Oprah had a very hard row to hoe before she got to where she is now.
I feel that a few celebrities are so much more than being famous and meeting an artistic quota. To me, just the weight of the scrutiny and attention is too weird.
