Happy Friday!
I hope you all had a nice week. Mine was good. I had a few days off from work and took my mom to Atlantic city. We had a good time. I’m happy I still have the weekend to relax and enjoy before returning to the day job on Monday. While I am enjoying the weekend I will be checking out the #FlashbackFriday links and checking out what I want to Pin next for the #PinterestProject update.
New to #FlashbackFriday? It is a blogger link up. Every Friday on Chasing Joy we flash back to some of our older posts to give them a moment in the spotlight. It’s fun and a good way to increase blog traffic, find new blogs to read, and find new readers for your blog. Pick any older post from your blog and add it below. You can also increase blog traffic by sharing your post on the Chasing Joy Facebook page and on Twitter using the hashtag #FlashbackFriday. Also, I will Pin your post to the new #FlashbackFirday Pinterest Board.

** Please Note** Linkys only work when everyone plays fair. Be sure to visit at least two other blogs from the link up and leave a comment. Pick any two you like or keep it simple and visit the two blogs linked up before yours. If you link up early be sure to come back and visit blogs that linked up after you.
This week I am linking up Life Lessons From Tina Fey, The Joy Of Bossypants. I read the book Bossypants for my book club. I had no intention of writing about it. I loved it so much that I ended up devoting this blog post to it. Read it...
My favorite post from last weeks linky was from Dana. I really loved her #FlashbackFriday post. It is just in time for Black History Month. She covers all of the black play-scale dolls from the very first “colored” one up to present day dolls. Very interesting.
Now it is your turn. Add your link below.
OK, now for my #PinterestProject Update! The Pinterest Project is a year long project where I will bring a Pin to life. Every week for 2015 I will take at least one Pin and attempt to include it in my real life.
This week I pinned one of my own posts. I needed to pick a pin that I could focus on while I was out of town. That meant no cooking, or home organization pins. In the spirit of positive self-talk I pinned a post I wrote on combating negative self talk with positive self-talk through mantras. I recorded myself saying these 3 mantras on my cell phone. I was supposed to listen to the recorded mantras several times a day all week. But I kept forgetting. When I did listen I found the mantras made me feel more calm and in control. I will try to do them more often in the next few weeks and give you guys another update.
For now this one is a Pinterest Win!!! I mean feeling calm and in control are good things.
Make sure you are following the Pinterest Project Board on Pinterest to see what Pin’s work and what Pin’s don’t work.
What are you linking up this week and what have you been Pinning?

Hi Arlett, I know slapped wrists I've had so much on 🙁 This week as we are in the Lenten season, I thought I'd link up the beautiful guest post on honesty and trust, that you did for the Lenten Challenge I did with Joy of Gospelfit a couple of years ago.

In the spirit of Tina Fey, I linked up my Bossypants review. I like your Pinterest challenge. I should do something like that for my live healthy challenge.

I also sometimes find my thoughts in a negative direction. It's amazing how bad I can make myself feel just inside my own head. Conversely, when I find myself thinking negative thoughts, it's amazing how stopping them can really make my day better.
