Happy Friday Everyone!!! Welcome to the Flashback. Flashback Friday is where we revisit our favorite older posts and pay them a little attention and introduce them to some new readers. But before we do that I have a little reminder.
Registration for the Chasing Joy Brunch & Learn is currently discounted. The Brunch is already a great deal. For under $50 you get a full Maggiano’s Brunch Buffet. We are not talking fruit and muffins here, although they are included. You will get muffins, seasonal fresh fruit, croissants with assorted jams and butter, fresh baked zucchini bread, cinnamon streusel coffee cake, potatoes with roasted peppers and onions, spinach and tomato frittata, cinnamon french toast with caramelized bananas, smoked Bacon, regular and decaffeinated coffee and assorted fruit juices. It’s Maggiano’s, so you know it will be yummy!
While we eat we’ll be enlightened by two speakers on how we can get more Joy out of our lives. Janeane Davis will talk to us about how we can have more Joy but developing our own ideas of what success looks like. Erika McDaniel will be sharing fashion and styling tips so that we can look as successful and joyful on the outside as we do on the inside.
There will also be opportunities for networking. Attendees will include local bloggers, entrepreneurs, social media enthusiasts, and people who want to have more Joy in their lives. All attendees will also leave with a gift bag and have the opportunities to win additional prizes from our sponsors. All of this for under $50!!!
Right now the Early Bird price is only $40. The price goes up soon so Register Now!!!
If you are not in the Philly area you won’t be left out. We will be live tweeting. The hashtag is #CJBL and there will be a special giveaway that everyone who live tweets will be entered to win!!!! Do follow the hashtag #CJBL to keep up on the latest news about the brunch and tweet the hashtag on August 3rd between 11 and 3 to be entered into the giveaway.
Now, time for the Flashback. Here is how it works, add a link to one of your favorite posts in the linky below. Share your post on the Chasing Joy Facebook Page and use the hashtag #FlashbackFriday on Twitter and Instagram to promote your Flashback posts. All are welcome!!! The only rule is to visit AT LEAST TWO other flashback posts from the linky. If you link up early be sure to come back and check out those who join the linky after you. Remember the linky does not work properly if you don’t visit at least two other links 🙂
Here are my favorite posts from last week’s Flashback linky:
Darlene is a great post on how to introduce your kids to gratitude journals. It’s never to early to learn thankfulness.
Chrystina Noel, an iron chef potluck gives great ideas for themed parties and how to host a party including adults, teens and toddlers.
My Flashback this week is The Joy of Pets. It was a really short post in response to someone’s crazy opinions about having pets.
After you link up make sure you grab the #FlashbackFriday button from the sidebar and click to tweet ->I just linked up for #FlashbackFriday with @Chasing_Joy.
Now, give your old post new life via the power of the linky!!!

It's too bad I don't live in Philly, it sounds like the CBJL is going to be another fab event.
Since we're already in hurricane season I thought it would be funny to post my "Frankenstorm Edition" of the Monday Music Break, with not one, but two songs! 🙂
