Chasing Joy with the Fotor Photo Editor App.

Two things happened last week that reminded me that Chasing Joy is really about the simple things. The first thing was I ran into a friend at lunch. Somehow the conversation turned back to our very first jobs and what we did with our first paychecks. She purchased a VCR and was super excited about all of the Friends episodes she was going to record. I purchased a sheer gold bra. It made me feel so grown up and sexy. I felt fantastic buying it and every time I wore it. We laughed as we reminisced on how little it took to make us happy.
Later in the week, the 2nd thing happened. I was texting with a different friend and they asked how I was. I said that I had had a good week. She asked what happened to make it good. As I started to answer her I realized that nothing special had happened. No one annoyed me at the day job. I had an uneventful doctor’s appointment that did not include me getting on the scale. In general it was just a pleasant week. While texting her I realized I did not need to have great big fantastical happen in order to have a good week
Over the last 7 years of Chasing Joy I have been getting better and better at finding joy in the little things. One thing that is helping me do that is the Fotor Photo Editor App. How can an app do that? How can an app help me Chase Joy? I’ll tell you how. It helps me to slow down and savor the simple things that are happening every day. I look forward to taking pictures both new and old and using the Fotor Photo Editor App to document the little things giving me joy.
For example for the last couple of weeks I have found great joy in watching my Asiatic Lilies return on their own and bloom. I shared posts about it on social media and called it #BloomWatch2017. I’m a blogger so I had to give it a hashtag. Well it was super exciting just this weekend to find the first bloom of 2017. It was so beautiful. Of course I shared it and used the Fotor Photo Editor App to edit the photo with text.
Here is another example. As part of my Joy Makeover Program I encourage clients to work on the Faith Pillar of Joy so that they can feel more hopeful. One way I’ve been doing this this year is by focusing on a different scripture each week. After I include the scripture in my bullet journal I use the text feature on the Fotor Photo Editor App to add the scripture to one of the many photos on my phone.
Sometimes I will add the scripture to a new photo like this one I took during one of my 3.5 mile walks on Kelly Drive.
Sometimes I will add the scripture to an old photo like this one of me as a kid on Christmas day. Because this was an older photo I had to use some of the photo enhancing features in addition to the text feature to make this image.
Ok one final example. You guys know I went to Cuba. I have not written about it yet because I have so many photos and videos that I need to organize and edit first. But here is a sneak peak. In cuba we saw lots of livestock and birds. I was so happy to see this duck and her ducklings I had to take a picture. I mean I’d never seen a duck roaming free before. Later I used the Fotor app to share one of my weekly scriptures.
Chasing Joy is about being able to feel peaceful and find joy in the little things. The Fotor Photo Editor app helps me to capture those little things and share them. Our phones do so many wonderful things. I appreciate how this little app helps me to Chase Joy.

This seems like a cool app. I only have 2 photo editing apps on my phone and this isn’t one of them because until now it wasn’t on my radar, but I have promptly downloaded it! 🙂 I’m excited to use it and I look forward to having fun with it. 🙂
I keep hearing about how great FOTOR is, but I haven’t tried it yet. I need to, though. It seems like it would be a lot simpler and less time intensive.
FOTOR is the best! I’ve been using it for about a month now, and it’s absolutely amazing. It’s so easy to use.
