How many IUIs does it take to make a baby? Well in my case we know the answer is more than 3. My 1st, 2nd, and 3rd IUIs were all big fat negatives. I am still in a bit of disbelief that I did not get pregnant the first go-round. After 3 negatives I find myself laughing when I think about my first time. I was so paranoid that I made my then college boyfriend come with me to the store where we purchased both condoms and a spermicide. I always insisted on two forms of birth control. Who knew it was really this hard to get pregnant. Now, two forms of birth control seems like overkill. But who knows. I’m sure I was much more fertile at 20 than I am now at 35.
My friends keep telling me it will happen when it happens. Well here’s to hoping it happens soon. Below is a live video of my 4th IUI. If you have trouble viewing the video click here >> IUI #4 Live <<.
Did it take you a while to get pregnant with your bundle of joy? What was your experience like trying to conceive?

I know this can be hard and It will happen. You just have to believe. Good luck!
Sending lots of positive vibes your way. It took us 5 years to conceive each child. It is a hard journey but so worth it.
Best wishes on your journey! I never had this issue, and got pregnant on the first tries.
Definitely can see how frustrating the process can be. Thanks for being honest
Much luck to you! I was always worried as a young adult that I'd get pregnant. Different stages of life mean different worries.
Here's my crazy tip…if you lift your legs up after, don't…instead, get up and go for a walk right after sex every time. Worth a try 😉
Aw I'm sorry. I'm sure that's really hard. Thanks for sharing your experience.
I have had friends that have had to try UTI. They had a few negative results but on the fourth try they got pregnant. I wish you the best of luck.
My hubby and I are going to start trying for a new baby. I wish you much luck in trying to have a baby! I'll be right there with you soon.
Here's to hoping your friend is right. I'm rooting for you over here.
We are thinking of having our first baby next year. The thought of infertility scares me!
All 6 times it was quite quick and easy. I just became pregnant again in July but it ended a few week later from chemical. We will see how long it takes this time. I've been very lucky where this is concerned.
Two things I would never wish on anyone… infertility and having kids in the NICU. Both are such an emotional roller-coaster. No fun and I wish you success in pregnancy. I can related to how frustrating and difficult it is.
Good luck! I hope this one finally takes for you!
Thank you so much for sharing this. I have so many friends that have had trouble. I wish you all the best!
When trying to conceive, I was a lot luckier than some. I did have a few bumps in the road, but I am thankful to have my daughter now.
I am so sorry you are having so much trouble. I will be thinking about you and wishing you the best of luck with try #4.
This sounds like a tough journey but I'm sure it will be worth it. It really does make you think back to the early days!
Umm nope. Went natural with no help. As a matter of fact I doubled dropped and ended up pg with two babies.
I had a lot of difficulties getting pregnant but was blessed with three healthy babies when all was said and done. I am wishing you a successful IUI that results in an easy pregnancy and a beautiful little one.
I think it's pretty brave to be so honest about fertility issues. Especially to bring us along on your IUI journey! My heart goes out to you, and everyone else, facing issues.
TTC our third child was very hard and took us 3.5 years! I had numerous IUI's (I lost count) and non took for us. BUT, I only have ONE fallopian tube (doctor took it out when I was pregnant with my daughter, thinking SHE was a tubal, ya long story!). So, ttc is hard for me. I never thought I would have to go down 'that' road, but yep, I had too. Good luck to you!! I PRAY your IUI will take!! Baby dust 🙂 P.S. I love that you filmed your IUI!!!!
It is amazing how fertility varies from one person to another. There's really no explanation for it. I hope that you have good news very soon.
Fertility issues can be a heavy burden to carry. I hope it all works out. Best of luck to you!
I never really had much trouble getting pregnant, but my heart goes out to moms who have a harder time with it.
Hubbs and I were married for 13 years no birth control, no baby. I did one round of IUI at 43 after a very intensive prep season. Doc said I only really had one good shot. I was inseminated on Friday. Sunday I woke up and I knew I was pregnant and craving boiled eggs. I wish you the best in this venture.
Wow GinaB that's an amazing story!
Wow . Do you all care that your friends foes strangers classmates frenemies etc see these posts of such private things? Its an awful lot of exposure. Im open to many different conversations but this type of sharing amazes me. No judgement intended. I guess im young but in the dark ages.
