I have not done a wordful/wordless Wednesday post in a while. When I came out of my house this morning I saw that the flowers in my planter on my front patio potted garden had their first bloom. It was so pretty that I could not resist taking a moment to snap a photo with my camera phone. Now the really nice thing about this is that this is one of the few annuals that have come back for the 3rd or 4th year in a row. The sad thing about this is the only planters that are not mostly barren or covered with weeds are the annuals. I am so late getting my little potted garden going. I hope there is still hope. Seeing the front patio full of flowers and color does give me a lot of joy. It is nice to bring a little nature to my city row house.
Potted Garden of Joy, Well Sort of.
Do you keep any sort of garden, potted garen or otherwise? If so what do you grow? Have your flowers bloomed?

I have a small garden. I have been bad this year, but I got a lot of it still.. eggplant, kale, chard, cucumbers, strawberries, and potatoes

Ohhhh this looks like a flower out of a magazine, just beautiful! Yeah…so I don't have a green thumb and therefore, I don't have any real plants. But I may try to give it another stab in the near future lol

I love having fresh flowers but I don't yet have the space I would like to grow my own plants. Your flowers turned out great.

Great shot of the flower, so pretty! I'm a NY-er so I don't have space to do it but if I did I would love to try to maintain a garden.

I kill plants like it is my job. I am horrible at it. But they are so pretty to look at and make me happy! That flower is gorgeous!

What a beautiful flower!! We live in the mountains of AZ, so our garden sometimes has an attitude (like this year). Herbs did great, and our flowers, but some of the veggies said "NO". 🙁 Oh well, next year! Thank you for sharing with us at the #HomeMattersParty

I'm just like Lynne when it comes to gardening LOL! I've got a neighbor who's flowerbed is beautiful. But for now I'll just stick to bushes and the occasional ones I plant that won't ever see the day of light haha

Flowers always brighten my day. I love how the some of the most beautiful things are also the most simple things.

I killed a cactus once. Seriously. I am so bad at gardening. But I loved your post.

What a pretty flower! We have roses in our backyard and I'm happy to say they've been blooming for quite a while. I'm guessing it's because of the warm spring we've had.

So pretty! I keep a few flowers in planters in the front of the house and a garden (strawberries, celery, tomato, peppers, etc) in the backyard 🙂 I love to garden, however do not have a green thumb!

You really took time to stop and smell the flowers! I do have 3 flower beds but they need to be tended to…. badly. I have some flowers that come up every year but my yellow tulips were confused. They come up in the spring and I guess they just didn't know what to do.

That is beautiful – yes my peonies are now out and love them! They don't last long which makes them more precious.

LOVE the shot – what a gorgeous bloom! We went from freeze warnings to stifling heat in just a matter of days…so our growth has been sporadic.
