ERA Results are in!!!
The pace is slowly picking back up on this trying to conceive train after my break to go to Cuba. My ERA Results are in and I am starting to focus on trying again. I have 3 embryos on ice so there is no giving up. Even though I seriously considered it. So, I’ll be back in stirrups before the end of the summer.
Just to recap ERA stands for Endometrial Receptor Array. The test is used to determine how many days of progesterone a woman needs before transferring a frozen embryo. Typically the transfers are done after 5 days of progesterone but some women need a bit more.
I had the test two weeks ago. They took two biopsies one after 5 days of progesterone and one after 7 days. These biopsies really hurt although I did confirm a theory on how to make it less painful. The key is not having an empty bladder. Anyway, after the tests I was nervous that the results would show that I needed even more than 7 days of progesterone. That would mean I’d have to do the test again. Luckily that was not the case and I do not have to do the test again.
I am happy with my ERA Results. The test indicated that I need more than the 5 days of progesterone. Now I know that pain was worth it. Check out the video below to see exactly how many days of progesterone I need.
