Happy Friday Joy Chasers!!! I hope you had a good week and are preparing for an even better weekend. I hope all of the dad’s have a great Father’s Day. A lot of people don’t know that my dad also liked to write. One of my early memories from my childhood was him reading my family a short story he’d written. Recovering from the grief of losing him inspired this blog. I think he’d be very happy that I write though I’m not sure he would have understood exactly what a blog is, LOL. Here are a few pictures of my dad.
Now, It’s time for the Flashback! The purpose of Flashback Friday is to revisit some of our older posts and revive them. With the flashback we give them a second look and introduce them to some new readers.
Here is how it works, add a link to one of your favorite posts in the linky below. Share your post on the Chasing Joy Facebook Page and use the hashtag #FlashbackFriday on Twitter and Instagram to promote your Flashback posts. All are welcome!!! The only rule is to visit AT LEAST TWO other flashback posts from the linky. If you link up early be sure to come back and check out those who join the linky after you. Remember the linky does not work properly if you don’t visit at least two other links :-)
Here are my favorite posts from last week’s Flashback linky:
Video Advice for Recent Graduates offers really good tips for getting into the workforce. These tips apply to anyone re-entering the workforce, not just recent grads.
The Sexy Single Mommy should be read by all of my single friends. The I Feel Like Such a Fool, How to Avoid Getting Played post, reveals the top lies that guys tell girls they are dating.
My Flashback this week is Joy on the Grill. I wrote this post almost exactly 2 years ago. It is about my getting used to doing normal things again, like having people over for a BBQ, after going through grief.
After you link up make sure you grab the #FlashbackFriday button from the sidebar and click to tweet -> I just linked up for #FlashbackFriday with @Chasing_Joy.
Now, give your old post new life via the power of the linky!!!

hi Arlett – I hope you don't mind me tagging along on this, I'm a brand new blogger (so didn't have much choice of posts!) but thought this would be a good way to find other bloggers/potential readers. (I hope I've done it right!) Just going to read the flashback posts now – can't wait 🙂

Hi Arlett, That's where you must have gotten your writing skills – from your dad. I'm sorry for your loss and take care this weekend.

Flashback Friday is a great idea! I'll have to go through my old posts to find one to link up. I'm sorry about the lose of your dad. I know it gets easier but that the pain and lose never goes away.
