Happy Flashback Friday, Black Friday, and Belated Thanksgiving Joy Chasers. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Especially those of us who have a hard time with the holidays. As I write this post it is Thanksgiving Day. I am writing while waiting for my last side dish (stuffin muffins) to finish so that me and my mom can eat. After dinner we are going to head out to Target to scope out the Black Friday scene. Neither of us need anything but since it is the two of us it will be fun 🙂
As I reflect on all that I am thankful for this year, this blog and the Chasing Joy community of Joy Chasers on Facebook and Twitter stands out amongst the things I am most thankful for. This blog has been God’s blessing to me and a lifeline that pulled me out of so much grief and sorrow. I am constantly encouraged and inspired by your comments, facebook posts, tweets, and emails. I am Thankful for each and everyone of you.
I am also thankful for Flashback Fridays which let us look back on past posts. If you are new here is the deal. Flashback Friday is a great way to re-discover our earlier works and discover some new blogs. Flashback Friday is where we Flashback to our older blog posts and give them new life through the power of the linky! Just pick out your link and add it below. You can link to any post you like the theme does not have to match my post. Feel free to post a link to your Flashback post on the Chasing Joy Facebook Page so more Joy Chasers can access it. Use hashtags #FBF or #FlashbackFriday on twitter to advertise your Flashback post. Add your link below and be sure to check out AT LEAST TWO other Flashback posts. I suggest the two listed before your post to make it easy. Please leave a comment saying why you selected your Flashback post and what you thought about the other Flashback posts. I’m looking forward to reading all of your Flashbacks.
My Flashback this week is a good welcome to the holiday season. Merry Christmas, is a reflection on the holidays written on Christmas Eve.
*Don’t forget to grab the I am Chasing Joy and Flashback Friday buttons!
**Also invite some of your blogging buddies to join the Linky too!

Our Thanksgiving was spent with all our family and cousins…it was busy but delicious. 🙂 I have to agree though, this online family and friends we develop over time has been such a life saver. We're very lucky!

Your Christmas post conjured up some childhood memories. Things certainly have changed since then.
Lisa, I love the list of phrases you came up with for the FB timer! Somebody really should come up with one, given the amount of time people waste on FB and other social media platforms.
I linked to a post that I wrote earlier this year because it has been an running theme this week–planning for next year. I've had conversations this week with people who didn't get it all done this year, were looking to find a way to get things done and avoid the last minute rush to get goals accomplished this time next year.

I hope you a great Thanksgiving dinner with your Mom and had fun Black Friday shopping together!
I linked up to a post I wrote last December, about a vision I had during a ritual a few years ago. I am eminently thankful for that vision, as it was really key in helping me pull myself out of a severe bout of depression, and gave me a tool for self-assessing my emotional state.

The target was good. There was no line by the time we got there. It was crowded but very organized inside. They seemed to have everything people wanted. No shortages. I got about 95% of my Christmas Shopping done. We were leaving the store befor 12 o'clock.

How was the scene at Target last night? I've stayed out of stores now on black Friday for years. Not a fan of crowds.

Happy Belated Thanksgiving everyone, I hope you all had a lovely time spent with your nearest and dearest. It's not something celebrated in the UK but due to some great connections I have made, including with you Arlett I was able to be part of it.
Since we're on the Christmas theme, my post is on making it through the festive season whilst pregnant, enjoy!
