Last weekend we had the #ChasingJoy Twitter chat. It was great as usual. The topic was self-estem and self-confidence. This topic was very relevant for me. While overall I think my self-estem is healthy it could use a boost at times. Confidence is one of those things that increases and decreases depending on the stuation. Below are a few of my favoite tweets from the chat.

If you missed the chat I’ll give you a chance to answer question #Q9. Is there 1 thing that you want/ need to work on to give yourself a self-esteem /confidence boost?

I love the way I look when I put on makeup, it could just be simple makeup with a pop of color on my lips; I invested in a ton of makeup that I fell in love with and new would be simple to put on for me…with practice of course, but I rarely do it. I don't think my self-esteem decreases any without any makeup, but I definitely feel a boost when I do 🙂 Perhaps I will have to form the habit of getting up with enough time to look good from head to toe, not just neck to toe 🙂 I am marking my calendar for the next chat!

This was a great recap so thanks for sharing! I hope I can make your next chat. To answer your question, I think I just need to do better at writing down and actually saying my positive affirmations daily.

I totally need to celebrate the strengths that I have. I often brush away compliments or demean myself. I need to let all of that go.

I was on the chat and it was a nice expereince for me. My answer to yor question 9 is that I need to work on is accepting who I am and liking my place in the universe.

My answer to Q9: I need to work on comparing myself to others. Not physically, but I find myself comparing my work or my success to others. It only ends in feeling inadequate and I need to cut it out 🙂
