We are 24 hours away from Turkey Day and I guess about 30 hours away from shopping. Many stores will be opening up only hours after most of us are eating our holiday meal. Now this post is not going to be about whether we should or should not be shopping on Thanksgiving Day or if Black Friday and commercialization is ruining the holiday season. What this post is going to be about is the spirit of giving that I enjoy this time of year.
I really like giving gifts. I also like receiving them. Exchanging gifts has always been a part of my families tradition and I don’t think I turned out too bad. LOL There are usually some gag gifts thrown in with the real gifts for laughs. Some gifts are expensive and some gifts are not. But in my family all of the gifts have some though put into them. I love seeing the smile on my friend’s and families faces, or imagining the smile If I send them their gifts.

I am a big fan of giving gifts as well. I used to be all about receiving but growing up changes you. Now, I'd rather receive the smile and excitement of my kids on Christmas morning than a gift!!
