The Internet is huge. These Interwebs are massive. The Blogasphere is ginormous. How is it possible then that I sometimes feel there is no space for me.
I often see sponsorship opportunities that only want mommy bloggers. I will see Facebook posts on all varieties of topics but the call to action specifically asks for responses from moms. Sometimes I feel like what about me???
So in the spirit of answering the question what about me today I am shouting out my absolute favorite non-mommy bloggers. In no particular order, here goes:
Ispaci – This blog makes me think differently about my home. Does it really reflect my personality? Are the things I love on display?. The answer to both of those questions is no. But It will improve thanks to the tips and inspiration I get from Ispaci.
Your Chic is Showing – This is my go to blog when I want to read about style. Whether it’s fashion, makeup, or hair there it is covered by the YCS team.
A Girl Named Michael – I don’t know exactly what it is I like about this blog so it must be everything. I always feel good reading the posts and very rarely do I finish one of her posts without a laugh. I love when she shares interesting stories about how couples met. Her story is pretty interesting and unconventional too.
Me Myself and Em – This blog is fairly new but I already feel that I can really relate to it. The author writes about her goals, figuring out what she wants in life and her dating experiences. All things I am also focused on.
Positively Shining – The name of this blog is very fitting. It offers a nice positive outlook on life related to the author’s experiences. Some of the topics are similar to and mesh well with Chasing Joy.
Inspire to Thrive – I love this blog. Funny thing is it manages to make me feel smart and clueless all at the same time. This blog is all about the technical stuff that I’d rather not be bothered with. She covers everything from the latests google algorithm for adding social media buttons. I’m always confused through part of her posts. But then I always learn something too.
Fitnessbuster – This blog is a great source for practical health and fitness advice. Her posts are inspiring and make you feel like the changes you need to make are doable.
I know that I am not alone being a non-mommy blogger in this blog world. This post is a personal reminder that there are some awesome non-mommy blogs out there and to give them some props. Soon I’ll shine a light on my favorite mommy blogs and give them some love too.
Do you consider yourself a mommy blogger or a non-mommy blogger? Who are some of your favorite non-mommy bloggers?

Thank you Arlett for the mention, happy to inspire you and spread the joy and benefits of striving for good health via your fitness and nutrition. I'm a great fan of your blog which covers such a wide range of topics in your search for joy. I'm familiar with the great blogs from Lisa and Melissa and I'll be sure to check out the others. As for some other blogs I like, there too many to mention to risk leaving some out but I show it by retweeting the love 🙂

Thanks for highlighting some great non-mommy blogs, including mine at ispaci! I follow several of these already – Your Chic is Showing and Me, Myself and Em are some of my favs…so I'll check out the others too. As a interior stylist I also follow a lot of great interior blogs – like "Brittany Makes," "Design Sponge," and "Apartment Therapy"…I could spend all day looking at the photos and getting ideas. I'm not a mommy either but one day hopefully I will be and then I'll have plenty of places to get answers 😉

I sometimes feel like I'm on an island all by myself since I'm not a mom and still haven't quite figured out my niche. I mostly write about what is on my mind at the moment. I too have noticed a lot of the promotional posts are geared to moms. We should start our own club!
chasingjoy says
Yes we should. Savvy Working Girl I will join it if you start it 🙂

I created a twitter group called Savvy Bloggers and included everyone in you post that I could find. Let me know if you know of others you would like to add. Perhaps we can use the group to share ideas. I did read a post today that Sverve cares only that you are a woman – meaning you don't have to be a mom.
Hopefully we can all be a little more successful. Thanks for inspiring me.

I am indeed a mommy blogger! I agree that mommy blogger have set the stage for what blogging has become but I think in the future other niches will hold just as much weight. Fashion and beauty are definitely holding it down!
I don't really read too many non mommy blogs. I love the Frugalista Diaries by Meagan, I love her style. Other than that I kind of stick with the mommy blogs because I can relate!

Frugalista Diaries sounds interesting. I will check it out. 🙂
