Happy Flashback Friday 🙂 This weeks Flashback is to one of my favorite older posts. In the post Talking to Myself, I go over the advice my present day self would give my past self. The funny thing is most of the advice is things I still need to tell myself today. Check out the post and comment on what you would say to the you of yesterday.
Here is the deal for Flashback Friday. Flashback Friday is where we Flashback to our older blog posts and link up! You can also post a link to your Flashback post on the Chasing Joy Facebook Page. Flashback Friday is a great way to rediscover our earlier works and discover some new blogs. Just pick out your link and add it below. Use hashtags #FBF or #FlashbackFriday on twitter to advertise your Flashback post.
Add your link below and be sure to check out AT LEAST TWO other Flashback posts. I suggest the two listed before your post to make it easy. Please leave a comment saying why you selected your Flashback post and what you thought about the other Flashback posts. I’m looking forward to reading all of your Flashbacks.
*Don’t forget to grab the I am Chasing Joy and Flashback Friday buttons!
**Also don’t forget to invite some of your blogging buddies to join the Linky too!
*** And really don’t forget to join in for the #ChasingJoy twitter chat this Sunday July 1st at 2:30pm!
One Womans Style Evolution says
When I launched my blog last year I wanted to include how I was evolving in other areas of life, not just my personal style. In order to do that, I would have to open up about my personal life which I've been really reluctant to do for various reasons. It's not overly detailed, but I finally wrote about the relationship between my parents in my "Meet My Dad" post linked above. I apologize in advance to all of the single Moms who might be offended by my post but my relationship with my Mom (or lack thereof) has been a mystery to me that I'm finally solving after finally getting my hands on a copy of Karyl McBride's book. I don't know if I can ever or will ever write anything else about my experience with my parents (specifically my mom) but after an enormous amount of time on the "couch", prayer and guidance, letting go of the idea that my Mom and I could ever possible have a normal relationship was something that I had to do in order to finally be able to open up to healthy relationships in my life. I thought this post was appropriate for this blog because in essence, I am also seeking my joy.

I'm a day late, I know! I linked to one of my favorite older entries, in which I discuss the integration of pop culture imagery with my own spiritual work.
Can't wait to check out other folks' posts!

My post is about the safety of car seats for children. My granddaughter is my heart and the thought of her not being properly secure in a car scares the life out of me. I included links to sites about proper use. Please share!
(I will catch up on reading posts tomorrow while babies in my house are napping! I'm running behind tonight thanks to a migraine.)

I thought I'd bite the bullet and get involved, thanks for not giving up on me 🙂 My post is about how I enjoy and cherish my friendships, an aside from my usual fitness and nutrition related posts but penned with great joy!

My flashback post is one I wrote about a year ago. June is a huge reflective month for me, both of my children have birthdays this month, and my post "Mummified what?" helps me remember some interesting details surrounding their birth and a request of my dear mother's.

Great post! If I could tell myself anything I would say don't worry so much about what others think of you in high school. Down the road you will all relate to each other and may even reconnect through social media lol.

OK! I'm finally able to comment. My post is about timeless advice we can all follow to simply and easily update our look for less. I think we can all find joy in looking, and more importantly, feeling like a million bucks. Especially when we didn't spend it! Happy Friday!

I like the idea of talking to my younger self. It will help me with my children. It also made me think I should talk to my future self to help me with some decisions now.

My FBF post has to do with overcoming my flaws to steer on a clear path to Happyville 🙂 It is something I actually read often as it is something that I cannot seem to shake….would love some advice if you have it and are willing to share 🙂
