Shots! Shots! Shots! Everybody!!!
Ok not everybody, just me. Do yall know that song??? I’m not talking about Vodka, Patron, or Hennesy. I am talking about IVF Shots. Menopur and Follistim to be exact. Finally after so much waiting I was able to get started with my IVF cycle. I would never have imagined I’d be so excited to give myself shots. As a matter of fact I never imagined I’d have to give myself IVF Shots. This journey to becoming a SIngle Mother By Choice has been longer and gone places that I have never imagined, like to the pharmacy to get all of those IVF meds. LOL
Doing the IVF shots was a lot easier than I thought. I think it is mostly a mental thing. You kind of have to psych yourself up for it. After working so hard to qualify for the IVF I was mentally ready. I used an ice pack to try and numb the area as best I could. That worked and it wasn’t very painful.
