Today is the end of the #NFDietBet! DietBet is a website that aids in weight loss by making it a fun and friendly competition. Really you are competing against yourself. The goal is to lose 4% of your body weight in 4 weeks. Everyone pays to join and those who meet the goal get to split the pot of money.
I have been working pretty hard on my goal. My 4% meant I had to lose 11lbs. When I last checked I had lost 10.5lbs. I am so close!!! I have been posting photo’s on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter to stay focused. Here is a sampling of some of my posts.
The changes I made include
- Eating more veggies. I replaced tortillas with lettuce leave for chilli wraps and taco wraps. I made veggie soups and ate more salads.
- Cooked more at home.
- Improved the quality of my snacks. I opted for fruit cups, applesauce, rice cakes with peanut butter & protein drinks
- Went to the gym more often
- Did both cardio and weight training
- Increased the intensity of my workouts
- Drank lemon water most mornings to keep my digestive system moving
I have a really good chance of winning the diet bet. Wish me luck!!!
