I have reached the end of the line when it comes to trying to get pregnant by IUI, Intrauterine Insemination. I have been trying for 15 cycles without a successful pregnancy. I have tried unmedicated and unmonitored cycles, monitored and mediated cycles with clomid, unmonitored and medicated cycles with clomid, and even back to back IUI with clomid. I did get pregnant once but it ended in an early miscarriage. So what now? Do I give up? Do I throw in the towel? Nope. Not this girl. I am staying the course. Continuing on my Choice Mom journey and going to meet the RE for an IVF Consult.

The fact that they have not given you a “reason” … . .do you think the IVF would work with “no reason?”
I’ve been there. . . the no guarantee part is what caused me to stop after completing the second IVF.
That much on a car and home–that’s what I thought too. . .
Look into adoption. . .I wish I had started with adoption first. . .
Wishing you well.

I do think there is a good chance of the IVF working. with the IUI we don’t even know if the sperm make it to the eggs. Also with me using frozen donor sperm the swimmers are not as strong and do not live as long. I have no known problems so I think that is a good starting place for the IVF. Also I think I’m young enough to still have some good eggs. I’d be interested in the quality of my eggs and I think I can get some info on that from IVF.

Some adoptions cost $15,000

Mommysoon, I have heard of people sending several times that amount on adoption. I have friends who have taken years to get a baby and then they had to endure a “grace period” in which the birth mom could change her mind. Adoption is not always as easy or inexpensive as we think.
Also, I very much want to have a biological child and experience pregnancy and childbirth.
